Don't miss the opportunity to attend Tinnitus Quest's online Q&A with Dr. Susan Shore and Jon Pearson, CEO of Auricle on October 13. We will hear the latest about the Susan Shore Device.
I'm a completely different person now, so I get it. I used to be fun and energetic. I'm now in a lot of pain, and been depressed for over a year. Not much fun to be around.
I'm mostly concerned about our little one. We will be amicable. Just don't know how best to handle it, like, what to say, when to tell her, how quickly her dad should move out etc...
You are depressed because you are ill. This seems to happen a fair bit. I said I would understand my wife leaving me because of illness, but, deep down, it would be very disappointing. I do not believe I would leave my partner if she got ill. I thought that is what marriage was.
I don't know. I guess you would have to say that daddy has to go somewhere else so that he can feel better. Perhaps a little in advance, so she knows, but not too long for her to anticipate.
Like you say @Uklawyer, I'm maybe a bit disappointed, but it's a lot to ask of someone. I just worry about my daughter. My mum and dads break up was nasty, they still can't be in the same room as each other. Definitely don't want that. Just don't know how to go about this. It's messy.
