I read a lot here in the forum and I think that in most of the cases there is a psychological problem. I always had to deal with anxiety and I didnt have a good childhood.
I think most people have went through at least one period of depression or anxiety, etc. They say 1 in 3 people I think, but it's probably higher due to lack of reporting.
If T was based purely on psychology then everyone who has suffered mental health issues would have it, there must be something that predisposes people.
So if you have children make sure they protect their hearing whenever it is warranted.
