Don't miss the opportunity to attend Tinnitus Quest's online Q&A with Dr. Susan Shore and Jon Pearson, CEO of Auricle on October 13. We will hear the latest about the Susan Shore Device.
Can you wear filtered ones? To let a slight bit of noise in? I've been to one restaurant with my 20db plugs in (popped them out to eat cause of occlusion effect) and was OK with that.
Yes, I have musicians ear plugs with 15 and 25 db filters as well as solid inserts.
I usually don't pop them out to eat unless the chewing is super loud. Like something crunchy. Then I might pull them out of my ear a little bit. Unfortunately with the high frequency nature of my T, I still hear it even with my filtered air plugs in. Ugh!
@Forever hopeful sorry to hear that :( it's horrible that things become so much more complicated than they should be cause of the T. Do you friends know about your T in order not to be so loud?
@Strawberryblonde,
They do. They just have no idea how loud they are. But we were in a loud restaurant so I wore my ear plugs. I used the 25 dB filters. It actually ended up being OK.
