I was in Florida the week of the 27th. I had two intratympanic shots to each ear with my own stem cells and then cell free exosomes (these have growth factors). I also had my own stem cells given IV. This is done to, in theory, help heal/regenerate damaged or broken nerves/hair cells in the ear which was the cause of my SSHL in right ear, and also the cause of my tinnitus..

Another treatment is the laser treatment. This is used, in theory, to help calm down inflammation in the inner ear and assist healing with damaged mitochondria to help restore homeostasis. I unfortunately was too sensitive for the lasers, but some have had success with lowering their T with LLLT.

I myself only considered the stem cells when it was determined that I suffered sudden sensorineural hearing damage/loss, which was the origin of my tinnitus. Also, it is not a "quick fix" or result. Stem cells, if they work, can take up to 2-4 months to have affect in the ears and show improvement. This is the hardest part of it all, aside from no guarantee.

@ErikaS I just read that exosomes are lab grown somewhere. I was strongly considering getting the standalone foreign IGF-1 until I read that such treatments were very risky because introducing too many unnatural growth factors was a health risk. Do you think I might be overly cautious here? The amount required is likely nothing beyond 200 micrograms, but I still am worried.

@Artemis2K I inquired about the exosomes used with my treatment and I was given the name of the company so I was able to read further about it. Mine were cell-free, ethically sourced from placenta. I can't really speak outside of those, but I have read on here many think exosomes are an important factor with stem cell therapy.
