Don't miss the opportunity to attend Tinnitus Quest's online Q&A with Dr. Susan Shore and Jon Pearson, CEO of Auricle on October 13. We will hear the latest about the Susan Shore Device.
Hi Dean I know you're a very active poster and I haven't seen all your comments / feedback I know you are going through a lot of tests - rightly so. This sounds real concerning. The pace of the NHS is terrible. I work for the NHS and I have private healthcare, as does my partner. Did you have any numbness, tingling, twitching, feeling of burning skin etc more recently
@hopefuldede - Hi, fortunately like yourself I do have private insurance which has paid for most of the tests, but yes the NHS delays are absolutely awful. I haven't had those symptoms apart from numb tingling fingers every so often - although my EMG (which did test hands) came back clear. Do you have any thoughts as to what it may be?
I'm so sorry I really don't have an idea - the reason why I asked was that I have tingling in fingers, but also have twitching and pain too sometimes. I relate it to the covid virus and or the vac. Al my tests were also clear. Thankfully I don't have a swallowing issue. You are so young I hope they get to the bottom of it and you can heal
@hopefuldede@DeanD please go take a look at Dynamic Neural Retraining System (DNRS). Website is Retrainingthebrain.com .. I pushed back on this a few months ago, but out of desperation I took the leap into it and started the program yesterday and all I can say is I'm mad I didn't start it 3 months ago.
It's based on the fact that our injury, infection, trauma to the ear, covid, immune diseases, etc have caused actual damage and dysfunction to our limbic system in our brain and we are essentially stuck in a state of pain, oversensitivities, dysfunctions, etc. Watch some success stories on the website, very eye opening.
@ErikaS - that looks interesting and I'm open to trying anything at the moment - I'm going to look in to it - thank you!
I have also contemplated rTMS or TDCS. I would need to revisit these again but I was sure these attempt to balance out the nervous and limbic system for anxiety and depression etc...
@DeanD yes the subtitles are in English, when I click on the CC box I can't see any other options, unfortunately :( That could be a question sent via email if you needed another language and if they accommodate.
