Don't miss the opportunity to attend Tinnitus Quest's online Q&A with Dr. Susan Shore and Jon Pearson, CEO of Auricle on October 13. We will hear the latest about the Susan Shore Device.
@ErikaS You're welcome! It has been calm over the last few days. During these calm periods, there is still an electrical sensation, but it's usually at a low enough level to ignore for most of the day. However, it can still be quite discomforting.
When setbacks occur, it ramps up to a full-blown electric sandstorm mode. To describe it, it feels like hundreds of electric snakes swarming around my ears, accompanied by 3-4 other tones. Once the spike subsides, it returns to a low static hiss, along with another tone that resembles the sound of a flatline machine at the hospital.
The 3-4 other tones I mentioned with setbacks sound like what I can only describe as weird alienated sounds Thankfully I no longer have the wine glass tone ( hated that one)
That sounds so awful. I feel like I've checked out mentally to survive this spike so I haven't even thought about what types and how many, but there's lots going on up there.
I'm hoping everyday for your recovery my friend, hang in there
