Yes, I'm in California. I was denied on my first attempt. Then, I hired a lawyer in the Bay Area, Harvey Sackett, who got me approved during the reconsideration stage. About 90% of people are denied at that stage. it took 14 months total

@JeffToob I am grateful that I have established financial stability over the years and made prudent investments. I understand how challenging it can be for many people to leave work, and my heart goes to them. While waiting for a decision, I had an STD and an LTD policy and was approved for both. Additionally, My home is paid off.
