As in everything just sounding too loud? Yeah, that should fade with time, it's a really slow process but it'll happen. It's only when you start getting a lot of pain in the mix things get iffier but even that usually improves to some degree.

Persistent Tinnitus at 24 Triggered by Post-Surgical Medications (Ibuprofen, Tylenol, Gabapentin, and Oxycodone)

Interesting. What I read from a Google search was that medication-induced tinnitus is usually permanent because it reduces blood flow to the inner ear and permanently kills the hair cells there. I have always had a little bit of hiss in my head, but it was only there if I wore noise-cancelling...

Hi All, I’m going through a very difficult period right now and blaming myself for my current state, even though I truly feel I did everything I could to minimise symptoms while still trying to enjoy life. I’ve had tinnitus since I was twenty two, back in 2009 after a rock concert. I developed...

Adjusting to Hearing Aids After Long-Term Tinnitus: Strange New Symptoms and Questions

Hi All, I’ve had tinnitus for about 30 years now. Generally, I wouldn’t call myself a sufferer, because most of the time it hasn’t bothered me, although I’ve had stretches of months when I’ve noticed it more, perhaps spikes. I’m going through a rather strange situation with my tinnitus at the...

Tinnitus Suppression with Electrical Stimulation at the Basal Contact of Cochlear Implant Electrodes: Significant Improvement in 8 of 10 Patients

It looks like Dr. Carlson’s trial at the Mayo Clinic is complete. Last year, they moved the expected completion date to the middle of next year, but it seems they finished earlier than anticipated. I am eagerly awaiting the results.
