Rivotril has a long half-life, which makes it last for 2 days or so, this is from my experience and others as i've read online.

It might go away after a while, you never know - but sounds to me like you're doing good :) just protect your ears and try not to think about it, and since you've only had it for 1 month and it's better already - that's a good sign :)

Is it possible to get a picture taken of your inner ear hair cells? would be good to know if there is any damage or how severe it is :)

Hang in there, maybe get some medication to help you take the edge off, there is hope you just have to wait. one day you'll look back and think, i'm glad i didn't do it. there is so much to enjoy in life, don't let your T ruin it. :)

Welcome! :) My T was not easy to deal with in the beginning, but after a few months it got much softer and i don't really care about it anymore. It's still there and i do regret ever going to the concert without any ear protection, but i try not to think about it as i can't do anything about it...

I make music using my pc, so yeah my T does interfere as i can no longer have a high volume when mixing my tracks which makes it harder to hear if its good or not. I've made music for 2 years now, but after getting T i've only made a few tracks :(

oh, i've had this happen to me too, seems to only happen when i use headphones or earbuds, which i rarely use. :dunno:

ah okay, it's wierd how an infection can give you T at least for me, there must be some damage due to the infection which is a shame. stay strong :)

I feelt like this was so good that i had to do it @seal :D i know it's hard to live with T at least in the first few months, in time your T might fade away - stay strong and don't let a sound get in your way of living life the way you want :)

Ah, i sleep without any masking or sounds now - i used to have my computer on at night for some white noise, but once i turned it off before going to sleep my T actually got better :)

Hehe i like how you think! but i would recommend that you use earplugs if you go to places with loud music as it might make it worse in the long run. you do what you do, and its great that your going out and doing fun stuff. :beeranimation:

You should be fine Erlend! i've had those go off here as well and i'm doing fine, so you have nothing to worry about just relax and let your ears rest a bit, try not to think about it :) You could try to get some anxiety pills for times like these, not sure how your doctor are with prescribing...

I can't really remember total silence either, but i don't let my T bother me and its pretty low in volume so it's not that hard to do for me anyways. If you're trying to sleep imagine your T sound is coming from a fridge it might help. :) Playing loud music would not be the best thing to do...

I think that depends on how much damage is done, but there are people that have been cured/healed from T. Our body and mind can do wonders if given time, i guess you can only hope. I've never heard of anyone that have developed T through doing weed, so i wouldn't worry about that. some might...

I see a lot of people get T from having an ear infection and getting antibiotics, is it the infection or the antibiotics that does this? :dunno:

I haven't used any medications after i got T, my doctor didn't even want to give me any sleep aid. what i do is focus on relaxing and keeping my mind off my T. Also i would think it would be easier to deal with it if you don't have to deal with depression or anxiety on top of it - which is know...

I do have a bit of social anxiety which was going really good and then i got T - setting me back years from all...

That depends as loud to me might not be loud to another, but i'd say yes. I could hear it even while taking the bus, now i don't really hear it most of the time or it doesn't really bother me. And now days it's mostly only in my left ear it feels like. what's weird is that for 2-3 weeks it...

It has been off and on for maybe a month now, so it might be getting better or at least it feels like it. I do my best to avoid loud noises :) I did sleep with my computer on at first, but once i started turning it off at night my T decreased in sound level i feel like, maybe there is hope for...

that's true, i'm just happy i don't have any noticeable hearing loss or lowered hearing :) last time i was at my ENT i went to a mall and ate and so on, when i got back home my hearing was reduced my 30% or some, it was so wierd! thankfully it went away and i was back to normal the next morning...

what about those that doesnt have any damage? my ENT said i had really good hearing with no damage done. :dunno: i was also wondering about if this noise has allways been there. would be good with some info on this :)

Good for you Erlend! :) my T is really low now too, i'm hoping it will go away on its own. It spiked some when i went to work, but most of the time i can't hear it anymore. i've started drinking chamomile tea before bed and it seems to help some with my sleep at least.

Hello my ears feels clogged after listening to medium volume music or after waching a movie. my T doesn't really spike but it might be a bit higher for a while. are my ears that sensitive? :( does my sensitivety to sound get better? :(

i've been to my doctor, and i didn't get any medication. Not even some mild sleeping aid. i've had social anxiety and ADD my whole life, which could make my T worse at times.
