Fleeting Tinnitus for Longer Periods of Time?

I was in ER when I read this thread, I probably had the same thing, my fleeting tinnitus is always high pitch but this fleeting tone is lower and loud and my ears felt full. Just an update, this thread saved me from going crazy, as of writing this my tinnitus is going down. Thanks @mgbigair and...

    Dying Cells Myth

Dont agree. Fleeting T is too loud for one dying cell. In my opinion it is only reaction to short chemical inbalance in inner ear without any damage.

Acoustic Trauma-Induced Tinnitus in One Ear — Now Noticing Fleeting Tinnitus in Good Ear — Normal?

I get a lot of fleeting tinnitus now. Maybe even once or twice a day but it subsides after 10-15 seconds or so. It’s actually louder than the tinnitus I had when it was constant. I like to think of fleeting tinnitus as my ears repairing themselves in some way.

...make static increase, but mainly things like fan, water, etc. When it’s very reacted, it’s like I can feel the static in my R ear. In the past few days I’ve been getting fleeting tinnitus feeling in ears, but not a loud tone w/ it, just in & out of the feeling. Wondering if I should be concerned.

Poll: Approximately How Often Do You Get Fleeting Tinnitus?

I get it about once a week but recently, the volume of my fleeting tinnitus has done down, a lot, sometimes I can barely tell I'm having it. What could this mean? I've had tinnitus, the permanent kind for 18 months now. Before developing permanent, I don't recall ever getting fleeting.
