Have you tried hearing aids? They have dramatically reduced my tinnitus. You will know within 10 minutes if they will help you or not.

I'll be interested to know if the hearing aids help you. I tried my Father-In-Laws and it didn't change my tinnitus much but his were probably lower bandwidth.

It's difficult to say. If it helps the pure tone side, then it would seem to have some benefit. Maybe try only using it on that side while isolating the bad ear from noise. Maybe just treating the one side will help distract from and calm the relative side. I use Oticon for sound enrichment...

I agree with @Johan001 and believe hearing aids should be worn because you could be exposed to loud noises anytime. Although I haven't got mine yet, my audiologist referred me to them. Good hearing aids block out loud noises.
