40 Weeks Pregnant, Tinnitus Driving Me Crazy — Microsuction Made It Worse

Hi All,

I'm new here. I have only been experiencing tinnitus for 5 days now.

I had previously had a problem with my left ear blocking up for quite some time.

I recently 4 days ago went and discovered I had a wax build up in my left ear which I had microsuctioned out and, although a relief, the ringing in my ear has now increased and is really impacting my day to day life.

To add to the impact I am 40 weeks pregnant! Just wondering if any pregnant ladies experienced this and if there was any relief after birth.

I'm hoping for a miracle here. I have a 4 and 5 year old children already and this is taking over how am I going to go through this with a newborn as well. Please any advice would be helpful.

Hi Holly, I wanted you to have a reply. I'm male so no surprise I have no relevant experience. If you read around plenty of members have had problems with microsuction. Sorry for that. I guess get and see the ENT immediately. Regards

Thankyou Jeremy TB I've had a wee look around. I do not know how everyone deals with this! It came on suddenly I have no hearing loss just ringing I'm 4o weeks 1 day today dur for induction tomorrow so keeping my fingers crossed the lower progesterone levels after birth might help

Finger crossed, give it time and it might fade. I know one person whose tinnitus went away. Stay strong and note that the vast majority of people cope and live well with tinnitus. I know a few of those as well...

I didn't get mine in pregnancy but I know it can happen. Focus on the kids day to day, don't give it fuel, keep sounds around you x
