I downloaded this app on my iPhone and I really like it. It has a whole bevy of sounds, nature and otherwise, and you can layer an assortment of different sounds on top of each other each one at any volume you select. It was very easy for me to create my own personal sound that perfectly goes with my tinnitus.

What it does for me is the more pleasant nature sounds (mine is a combination of chirping birds, crickets, and a brook with flowing water) layered together to form a sound that harmonizes with my tinnitus noise tricking my mind into thinking that my tinnitus is part of the nature sounds.

At least it allows me a period of time where what I am hearing in my head doesn't sound that bad, even pretty pleasant. I don't have to have it too loud. I'm not trying to drown out the tinnitus, but rather invite it in to join the party of nature sounds. I can even read a book while doing this.

It was designed for tinnitus sufferers. Anyway, it's something. And I'll take anything I can get.
