Noise exposure
I have tinnitus quite loud I would say... hyperacusis and often my ears feel very weird as if they were pressurised... Went to the audiology and he said my hearing was at normal levels although I'm still convinced noise exposure was my undoing.

I just.. don't get it, I have these symptoms and no one can pinpoint exactly why.. The way my ears feel sometimes make the T even more bothersome...

I experience earaches because of the hyperacusis I think... Nothing helps.. Sounds above normal level hurt and otherwise it's just the T there... This is just awful.

Does anyone have similar symptoms and have an explanation?

You say you are convinced that noise exposure caused your T - what kind of noise trauma are we speaking about? How long have the T and hyperacusis persisted?

I think the worst thing about T and H is when one feels like there is no explanation and also nothing to treat it with. Maybe it would be easier if we knew with certainty what it is exactly, what makes it worse, what makes it better and be able to do something about it. At least for me the helplessness of not being able to cure it has been tough - it is hard to accept that T just keeps on ringing. Fortunately brain can be taught to adapt the new sound and there are ways to make things better! Masking is one of the most important coping methods for me. Finding a relaxing and soothing masking sounds makes it much easier to ignore T.

Furthermore, since sounds above normal (can you tell examples?) hurt your ears it might be good to protect your ears. You don't need earplugs everywhere you go, but I think damaged ears get stressed easily and when things get too loud, it's a good idea to protect them from further strain.

It says that you got T in 2016, has your situation at all improved or changed? Do you have T in both of your ears? Since your ears have pressurized feeling in them and you mention feeling pain as well, maybe visiting an ENT (a doctor specialized in ear-nose-throat area) could be in order as well. Just to be certain there is no infection or other reason for these symptoms.
