      Hi @Rog -

You ask a very important question.

In this clinical trial the placebo is delivered through the tympanic membrane into the middle ear via the same type of gel that contains the AM-101 used in the treatment arm. And as with the AM-101 it presumably diffuses from the middle ear into the inner ear across the round window. The placebo is designed so that it is inert and readily absorbed. There is close to zero probability that it can have any lasting adverse effect on your tinnitus.

      Hope this helps.
