The thing that stands out to me is that it's a supposedly inaudible sound that caused this damage. I have often wondered if sounds we cannot hear can still damage our hearing. There aren't many studies that explore the question and decibel meters don't read much of anything above 10kHz.

So, what did it sound like? For some reason it won't even play on my browser.

It's terrifying, the thought of using sound as a weapon like that. I guess it's all good since tinnitus and hearing loss aren't seen as a major health issue by anyone that hasn't had to deal with them.

A number of US Intel agencies suspect the Russians caused this by blasting embassy targets with microwave weapons. Dr at Georgetown University Hospital said my symptoms matched a number of the embassy patients she referred to Penn Hospital for further treatment. Unfortunately there's no way we (coworker and I) can link our symptoms to overseas work visits...

Want to have your mind blown... look into HARP, radio frequencies that can change the weather and ionosphere. Science fiction warfare, well established, has been around for ages. I am not a conspiratioralist. This is public information, bloody terrifying.

There is an article on "Havana syndrome" today in a Spanish newspaper. Here is the link in case some Spanish speaker is interested in reading it:

      https://www.abc.es/xlsemanal/a-fondo/sindrome-de-la-habana-salud-mental-estados-unidos-visados.html

Basically it says the CIA, the US government and the Canadian government tried to hide the claims by diplomatic personnel and CIA agents that Russia could be behind the Havana attacks that triggered neurological issues on the victims, including loss of hearing and vision, extreme vertigo, nausea etc.

After some victims talked to the press Biden passed the Havana Act (acronym for helping american victims by neurological attacks... yes, everything needs an acronym in the US) acknowledging the damage caused.

Marc Polymeropoulos, one of the victims, quit from his position at the CIA and wrote a book on his life and work experience... now apparently he gives conferences etc: The title of the book is Clarity in crisis: leadership lessons from the CIA.

Marc did not receive support or medical treatment from the CIA until he talked to the press... and it took 4 years to be offered medical assistance paid by his previous employer and being diagnosed with a "traumatic brain injury".

Kate Husband, from the US Department of State in Havana, experienced acute pain in her head... and then there were the usual symptoms. She has been diagnosed as "suffering a brain injury derived from a directional phenomenon".

The article includes a picture of which is, in theory, a Russian high-power microwave generator:
