Another Ignorant Doctor...

Just venting here about another ignorant doctor.

Had a GP appointment today for a repeat prescription regarding Tinnitus/Sinus problems. This female doctor said the same old "Nothing can be done". Something can always be done, and basic psychology tells you that you must support someone in finding a way to cope, and not leave them in despair.

I had the impression she was just processing me, and couldn't wait to get to the next patient.

It's amazing how much doctors vary. One doctor at the hospital told me "It's nonsense when they say nothing can be done"

They think they are the only therapeutic game in town. What they really mean is that nothing Medical can be done although the poor quality of assessment most of us seem to get leaves that an unresolved question in many cases. I don't think most of them bother to work out what still NEEDS to be done when "nothing can be done".
