My tinnitus has been always the same for the past 7 or so months. I don't get spikes from loud places (of course, I avoid seriously loud events; and I often wear earplugs outside).

I do often get loud fleeting tinnitus which scares the hell out of me, but that only lasts 10 seconds or less.

Just curious, anyone else here just have the exact same tinnitus, minute in, minute out?

Glad I don't get spikes, but this thing just feels so damn permanent.

I do but my tinnitus flexed a lot the first year. Now it is the same all the time no matter what, no spike and no more fleeting tinnitus.

I do. I had one type of T between onset and surgery (stapedotomy), then another type after surgery. Other than a new low pitch pulsatile tone happening a few months after surgery, it's been pretty constant and severe since the beginning.

Nothing seems to affect it. Diet makes no difference. Supplements make no difference. I don't get exposed to any loud events, however, so I can't say if my T would tolerate them, but I don't need to find out.

Mine was consistent for over 4 years, then 3 months ago i got a huge spike for 2 weeks. And since a week ago I'm having my second, what is hope, Is another spike. Either that or its permanent. I had pretty much habituated. Now I'm back to where it was 4 years ago.

I don't know what causes fleeting tinnitus, but I heard people with regular hearing get it too.

I think we have the exact same tinnitus. No spikes, no dips, no variations at all. Just constant relentless screeching.

Ye, I used to get them before I had any T or anything. But, it was way less often and less intense.
