Apple's Noise app on their Watch informs you when you should plug your ears to avoid hearing loss! It monitors the sound with a built-in dB meter and considers anything above 90 dB as harmful.

I think most people on the forum would agree this is a killer feature!

If I'm correct, it also monitors your headphone usage... see screenshot!

This Apple Noise App has a huge bug. It is deaf for frequencies above 8 kHz. You can try other dB measurement applications to measure this range, but with Apple Noise App, if I play a 80 dB sound at 9 kHz, it says 40 dB, no sound and no harm apparently.
