      Good day to you.

After two years from my first tinnitus onset, in which I am totally habituated, last night a new grave sound comes out of the blue. Again no loud environment, no headphones, no salt, no sugar, 2 hours per day of walking through the countryside, only three glasses of coke ( because of aspartame and stuff ) and a stressful period at work.

Actually the big problem here is not the catastrofic thoughts of this new sound, because I can "filter" them, rather the insomnia. Despite the fact that this new tone is veeeeery low ( I can hear it in total silence ), I can't sleep at all, only 3 hours per night.

So here I am to square one: what should I do, at least to restore my 8 hours of sleep? Should I go to the ENT?

      Thank you!

If it’s so low i wouldn‘t bother to much, take melatonin 1-5mg like Deb said for sleep and continue like before. Maybe it‘ll fade within some weeks.
