Barely Heard Tinnitus All Day Then BAM

What the fuck! Today was the first day I didn't hear my tinnitus while driving in the car. I was shocked! It lasted from 8am - 3 pm when I decided to go swimming with my daughter. The pool was so loud... now my ears are blasting and pissed and hate me.

Was it the noise that did it or the swimming or both??

I've read that t can be very fickle. Try to focus on the fact that it went away for a while, which means it can do it again. You're moving in the right direction and that should make you happy. I know it's disappointing that it came back but think of where you are now compared to a month ago. I bet there's a huge difference.

The fact that you can go hours without hearing it and you are only a few months in is very promising.

Next time you may consider wearing silicone earplugs to the pool. It's probably just a temporary spike from the noise.

I had a couple of days that had me thinking it was improving then BAM the last 2 have been crap. T is weird and frustrating ....

It's the nature of the beast. It's not unusual for me to have a good day before it gets bad in the afternoon or evening.
