I'm new to the tinnitus club (unfortunately), I got T after a nightclub (11 days ago), by being too close to the speakers. Now I'm scared of almost every sound. During this period of time, I've been using foam earplugs, for the street or for driving (at least during the first weeks after trauma). Now, for the noisy situations (for the rest of my life), I need the best earplugs available in the market , the ones that can offer the best protection (in terms of DB) and comfort

I've seen most people recomend the Alpines Music Safe Pro:

      https://www.amazon.com/Alpine-Music...qid=1473638665&sr=8-1&keywords=music+safe+pro

      Or the Etymotic Research ER20:

      https://www.amazon.com/Etymotic-Res...qid=1473638693&sr=8-1&keywords=earplugs+music

Also, the ETY-Plugs High Fidelity Earplugs has great reviews:

      https://www.amazon.com/ETY-Plugs-Fi...qid=1473638693&sr=8-5&keywords=earplugs+music

      Any advice??

Depends on the size of your ear canals but the Moldex meteors are pretty good the foam expands slower that others so it's easier to insert and they do up to 33NRR

Thanks guys. I'm from south america, so I'll see what can I find here in terms of custom earplugs.

Foams earplugs leaves me isolated from the world. That's not good for most situations, but it must be good for the most hardcore situations.

The Eargasm reduces only 12Db, that's too little.

What I like about the Alpines is that you can choose the level of reduction, depending on the situation.

I have the alpines. They are comfortable but annoying to put in and out. (There's a little plastic applicator). The NNR of the highest gold filters is 16 db.

So, the Alpines Music Safe Pro reduces only 16 db?

I'm also looking for the Alpines Partyplug (25db reduction):

If you live in a noisy city or go to noisy restaurants then even the best foam plugs don't cut all the sound so no issues getting enough sound

Another option is silicone plugs wiht no filter that you can push in deeper if it's gets noisier That's what I use at business meetings

Most of these plugs wiht filter don't reduce much sound but it's better than nothing of course
