      Hi a'll,

We've heard the news about Clapton, Lady Gaga, Prince, the Cranberries lead singer and so many other musicians who suffer and eventually die.

In my estimation, all these types of illnesses and deaths are cleverly "caulked up" to lifestyle abuse or drug overdose, typically of very strong highly interactive drugs, or just "overdoing it" while in concert mode. While this analysis may be true, it missed a larger issue.

Loud music via amplifiers etc. *causes* percussive injury just like when football players get hit in the head (they are both waves--it's just in football you can see a point of impact). This is to say that, there is a REASON the musicians are taking the drugs to begin with. They are in PAIN...nerve pain in their bodies and brains (and this is why the music industry doctor's are so willing to prescribe all these dangerous drug cocktails).

This can be seen upon autopsy, whereas you cannot see it on an MRI or audiogram. THIS it the inroad into SCIENCE, PUBLICITY and SOCIAL ACTION we need. We'll be up against an organized and oppressive music industry who will not want the truth to come out (because it will likely hurt their profits, just like football).

But, if you want a "cure", it starts with the brain--and you need brains, post-death, to study as today's medical technology is just not good enough to image the nerves--and the doctors know it. The music industry knows this damage that is going on, too, and is purposely scapegoating individual musicians to save the industry.

Ear protection can only provide a max. of 30 decimals of to the ear region--that mens even with ear plus a noisy venue it sending sound up and throughout the entire body the whole time. If it's loud enough for long enough, anyone, musician or audience-member, can get seriously injured.

Does anyone know yet how Dolores O'Riordan died?
I can see how Tinnitus could lead to the misuse of drugs/addiction.

And what does Lady Gaga suffer from? Addiction and schizophrenia, if only, but not with tinnitus.

Many musicians play and sing for decades on an extremely loud scene, especially rock musicians. But they have no damage to the ear and have no tinnitus.

Also, for example, Stephen Tyler all his life using heavy drugs, is exposed to loud sounds at concerts and does not have problems. Someone gets tinnitus barely listening to the headphones.

All this is just an accident, like the whole life. Like the existence of this world. Genetics. We need to develop bioengineering, genetic therapy, stem cells. This is our future holy grail.

But, unfortunately, most of the powers that be are indifferent and incomprehensible.

Why do some people smoke all their lives and never get cancer. It's never just one thing. It's genetics and other contributing conditions or exposures.
