Can the Frequency (Hz) of Hyperacusis Change Over Time?

I am approximately 7 months into the onset of my H and T after NIHL.
Lately I have the distinct feeling that the frequency where my H is bothering me is going down.
My H frequency started with sounds from cutlery and running water (this still bothers me).
I start to notice that plates and cups (lower frequency) bother me more at the moment. Also when I am placing things on a table top, the heavier items (again lower frequency's) bother me more than they used to.
I am not sure yet if this is an improvement or not. Perhaps my H for higher frequency's is shifting towards lower frequency's?
I wonder if there is someone that noticed this too?
Could it be that something is still changing after 7 months?

 

I agree. I don't think it stays the same.

 

Thanks. Good to know that you have also the experience it doesn't stay the same and it can still change after more than 6 months.
I do hope that this is a good sign and it changes for the better.
I will have to wait and listen what happens.

Good point. I sometimes dread thinking about that. A protection mechanism inside me wants to avoid these thoughts. (Cognitive therapy)
