Can Tinnitus Come and Go?

So today I didn't really hear my tinnitus until this evening when it spiked for no reason.

Can tinnitus come and go?

Does this mean it maybe healing. Is there still a chance?

I have had it since the 2nd of December.

Tinnitus under 6 months has every chance in going
but after that It still could go but usually then needs looking into more.eg MRI
