So I've found a bunch of posts about people recovering from audio induced trauma but I can't find any info on sinus wash induced trauma? Is that worse or more permanent?

I've finally settled on the cause of my tinnitus being from the sinus wash I did (as I have NEVER done it before in my life until then). It felt like I just flushed the infection into my ears and other parts of my sinuses when I did it.

I mean, bottom line, I've damaged my ears...but can they heal? (not habituate)

I've got REALLY LOUD high pitched ringing in my ears.

Anyone recover who had sinus wash induced trauma?

I'll take the lack of response as it has just as much chance of healing as audio trauma then. Hopefully ear damage is ear damage and recovery is recovery.

In 2 months the only difference I've noticed is that I can stay in small rooms now, before it would feel like the ringing was just reverberating off the walls. Volume might be a 9/10 from a 10/10 but that's it and that just might be due to habituation.

I'll measure progress month to month then instead of daily/weekly.

      Hi Dave,
Try an antihistamine to see if allergy related.
If you used saline solution I catrnt see that causing tinnitus but salt can spike it.
      Love glynis

Hi glynis. My suspicion is that when I used the saline that it washed the mold I was exposed to from my sinuses to my inner ears.

and I can't get my ENT to prescribe me an anti-fungal...it might already be too late now...

I believe my T is caused by me washing a viral infection from my sinuses into my middle ear. I have a matching high pitched constant tone in my ears that doesn't seem to be dying down much in about 2.5 months.

Is there any healing that you've noticed as time goes on or a reduction in the volume at least?

Hi, sinusitis can be caused by allergies. I have been getting allergy injections for 20 years and they have been a tremendous from suffering from seasonal allergies. Also, I can avoid potentially harmful allergy medications. Seeing an allergist might be a good idea. Good luck.

I believe a neti pot caused mine as well. Let me know if you have found any relief. It's been a year for me :/
