Decided to start a thread for just random chat, pics, quotes etc. Somewhere to go for a catch up with members, express how you are feeling wether good or bad. A safe place as such :)

All I ask is be respectful of each other, be kind. I'd like to keep the "heated debates" and "arguments" to a bare minimum as there are plenty of threads for that.

Not sure if many will use this thread but I'll keep talking and adding pics etc

A few of my favourite quotes from one of my favourite books Alice in Wonderland.

How is everybody? The last two months haven't been great if I'm honest, the noise seemed to be eating away at me slowly which in turn has been ramping up my anxiety and I seem to be constantly fighting with myself in my own head.

Trying breathing exercises, meditation and mindfulness helps a little, this week I've been feeling better emotionally but haven't been doing anything different so not sure why. It's this rollercoaster of constantly changing emotions and noises in my head that's so hard to try and get a handle on.

Anyway I'll take the good days when I get them :D

I'd recommend a show called "Dead to Me" on Netflix, it's not normally my type of show but I really enjoyed it and had some really funny moments in.

HOW DARE YOU START THIS THREAD AND NOT TAG ME!????
(Frown on my face and hands on my hips giving you my Spanish attitude!)

I didn't think I would enjoy it but I watched it in 6 days which for me is amazing haha I loved the two main characters chemistry as well. Looking forward to a second season.

Oh @emmalee I forgot to tell you I watched a star is born, really enjoyed it and was more emotional that I thought it would be. I'm not sure if the message of tinnitus got through as well I would hoped but enjoyed it nonetheless. Also watched bohemian rhapsody, loved the music and the film was ok.

Hey Emma :D hope you are ok?

Yeah I love that avatar :) speaks volumes

Hey, Jcb. :huganimation:

I am doing okay, a bit of a spike happening for the last two nights. My sleep is off and when this happens the tinnitus seems to protest. Hopefully I will get a good night's sleep in tonight.

I agree, A Star is Born definitely could have done better when it came to getting the message of the severity of tinnitus out there. SO many people have watched the movie, it should have done a better job, as you say. An opportunity missed, for sure.

All that said, I did enjoy it and I did cry. The soundtrack was great, too. Same with Bohemian Rhapsody, the music was awesome. Of course I may be biased some, Queen was one of my all time favorite bands.;) I always admired Freddie Mercury, in spite of his flaws. We all have flaws, he was no different.
