I experience it and it was quite loud but could be louder if nearer to the source.

They're quite loud, would've thought they would mask tinnitus rather than make it more intrusive.

There is a river & cicada sound track on TT audio player. Go test out that sound. I find it good for masking my ultra high pitch dog whistle T that sometimes shower can't mask.
