Aplogoies if this is a stupid question but seeing as I've never had a colonoscopy before, is it loud?

Will there be anything involved that could trigger my hyperacusis?

@orbiter12. Colonoscopy is the endoscopic examination of the bowel with a camera. There is no noise having that done.

Damn, I used to dread the time I would ever need a colonoscopy, but after having tinnitus for 3 months getting one now seems like it would be a breeze in comparison.

Maybe after the procedure when you are relieving all the air they pumped into your bowel, but other than that it will be quiet and you will be sedated.

I have had a colonoscopy and it is quiet, just some doctor searching your intestines with a camera. The only major discomfort is the pressure sometimes inside the intestines from the eqipment , like moderately hurtful cramps.

BTW : CT scans are quiet also, unlike MRIs ,which are to be avoided at all costs if you have h.!
