Cause of Tinnitus
Hearing loss
Started with tinnitus three months ago. At times it's not as loud but it's constant! Last three days high pitched! It's driving me crazy!

Went to ENT doctor who said my high frequencies in both ears is showing hearing loss. Nothing else!

How do you manage? I just want QUIET! Some days not as annoying but this high pitch!! No one seems to understand! Wondering if I should see neurologist! Live in Lancaster!

Mine has been constant for the past 11 months. T is constant for the vast majority of sufferers.

The fact that your T became more high pitched is not good. Have you been protecting your ears from moderate noises like that of a vacuum cleaner?

No this week I hurt my back and took prednisone for five days and naproxen. I heard that can increase the pitch? I really not around a lot noise. I can manage kinda when lower BUT this high pitch constant for three days not sure

We all want a peaceful and quiet life, trust me on this. Tinnitus robs us from that. I been wanting this for 30 years myself :(

Life is life, IT IS- WHAT It IS. managing to live with tinnitus simply takes lots of strength and patience. You have to try to not let the tinnitus control your life. I don't let it control my life. I have poor hearing and very loud/intrusive tinnitus but I tell it to go sit in the corner of the room and not come out. It's all about the mentality we have and how we act/re-act. Negative emotions simply feed the tinnitus and can make it much more annoying.

Distracting yourself and living your life, is how I deal with the tinnitus. I live my life and enjoy it, eventhough I have an electrical generator that is very loud and this horrible menace is with me 24-7. Distraction + support + time are key factors in dealing with tinnitus. You can live your life, it takes time to adjust and to come up with a possible game plan :)

Take care
