Neighbors started construction on their house, conveniently just the same day exam period started. I usually sit outside to study as the wind hides my tinnitus. However now I can't because all I hear is hammers and other tools.

If I sit inside they are annoying during study and I can hear my tinnitus, at a manageable level. If I put ear plugs in to lower the outside noise, my tinnitus is the only thing there so sounds much louder, to a point where I can't study.

I feel angry at this situation as these exams determine my eligibility for my first year Uni course next year.

      Any suggestions?

Yes, get out! This happened to me once and all the drilling in the walls made my tinnitus exponentially worse.

Do you have access to a car? I would go to the park to study. And I would want to be out of the house as much as possible if there is noisy construction going on.
