Yikes. 3M knowingly sold defective ear plugs to the US Military... Do you trust yours?

That's awful and makes me question the reliability of 3Ms consumer ear protection too.

I have family members in the military. They've commented before on the poor quality of the supplied ear plugs. Not only do poor quality ear plugs put their hearing at risk, but you can be forced to switch jobs or even be completely forced out of the military if your loss hearing hits a certain level.
