Looking at my options for treatment, either way it's going to cost me a fortune.

Need to get a hearing test done and fix that if anything is lost, although I haven't noticed anything.

1.) Buy a WNG - this will help me mask the noise, learn to habituate, and decrease the associated anxiety I have with it. I know what I'm getting.

2.) Buy ACRN therapy - if I'm suitable, I'll go down this path to see if I can reduce the volume of my tinnitus to a more manageable noise. More expensive, no guarantee it will work, although in the assessment they say if you are deemed suitable there is a very good chance it will work for you.

HELP!?

WNGs you can probably get through the NHS, can't you?

Yeah I have been referred but I know it's going to take months before I see an ENT. And then you hear them robbing you off with learn to live with it or buy a masking machine.

Ask your GP to send you to the audiology department (they have T clinics in one form or another) bypassing the ENT and they can give you maskers there and then for free. Got them on my first visit. The audiologists are helpful.
