Do You Know When Your Tinnitus Exactly Started?

Just out of curiosity, does anyone know exactly when their noise started?

I only ask because I'm so freaked out by mine - remember exactly how they started all by putting a smartphone against my ear , at first heard these beeps and chirps in various places then later on, placed my head under water and heard like a machine gun pap pap pap until it repeated to high pitched noise - same occurred when bit onto tin foil (there was a reason!!)

So yes just curious does anyone remember the exact moment the noise started ??

 

Terry b, Mine started in early morning hours of July 9th, 2010. Could have been from car accident 2 days prior. Ears are normal, had all tests, etc.....Probable whiplash at first. I still have bad neck and shoulder muscle problems. Hope you feel better soon.

 

Yep. I got off a transatlantic airplane flight from Paris to Cincinnati OH midday in June 2013. In excruciating pain from barotrauma, caused by a malfunctioning eustachian tube. My ears were ringing. Haven't stopped since.

Note: Tell everyone you know that they should never, ever fly if they have a severe cold or middle/inner ear infection.

 

The fall of 1974, a Wednesday night.

 

Started in the first days of February this year. Getting worse I think.

and secondly - was it an external noise that contributed to your tinnitus do you think ?

 

In my case, yes. Loud concert for over an hour. Bye silence and hello T

 

Started when I awoke from an ECT treatment session four years ago. Still have it.

 

I was sitting in LaGuardia airport waiting for my flight, and I got two very weird, very sharp pains near the front of my left ear.

 

Loud t second week of December 2016, silent room t years ago.

 

Similar situation. About 4:00 PM on Saturday, March 16, 2013. .357 Magnum from a snub nose revolver in an enclosed space.
