      Hello friends,

I have a question regarding ear pain, and how I ought to protect and rest my ears. I used to have nasty hyperacusis and noxacusis (with pain shooting across my face, around my head, and down my neck) but over the past couple months it has died down to a general pain that comes and goes but does not seem to be immediately impacted by the level of noise around me.

I will obviously still plug when noise is above 80-85dB but I'm not sure if I should continue to be extra vigilant as I was before, plugging my bad ear whenever I would be around more than 3 people or in an environment with any machinery/fan type noise.

Thank you for any tips, I don't want to overprotect and undo my progress thus far.
