Hello. Yesterday my fiance was scratching my head.

We began to talk about how I need a hair cut. She began to play with the hair around my sideburns that hang over my ear slightly.

My eardrum started to vibrate or twitch. The noise was quiet. I thought it was strange so I rubbed the hair a little and it did it again. I laid the hair over my ears and it didn't happen so much.

I guess my question is is this normal for people with tinnitus and hyperacusis or any ears in general?

I don't know if it's normal, but this happens to me after I've managed to get the mucus in my ears to drain. I like to imagine that it's the hammer not knowing exactly what to do after being constrained for so long.

I wouldn't worry about it unless it becomes distracting.
