Eliminated Some Foods / Medicine / Chemicals — Tinnitus Almost Vanished Over a 1-Month Period

I eliminated these items and my Tinnitus is almost vanished over a one month period...

Sugar
Salt
Caffeine
Zantac and other prescribed stomach acid reducing medicine
Regular and tooth whitening paste
Aspirin and Tylenol including prescribed Tylenol 3 with codeine
Artificial preservatives and sweeteners especially aspartame
Sleeping pills over the counter and prescribed
Stress management and loud environments
Low humidity
Smoking

I worked in loud locations for years and expect that and getting older to have some ringing which become very faint when eliminating the above items.

I can now slowly re-introduce certain items to see which is the problem.

My ringing was so bad and loud it was ridiculous and I felt like ending my life at points, thinking about having this for the rest of my life... I am 56 years old .

Amazing. I see from your profile you've had it since 2015? When did it begin to improve-or not until the diet change? Any hearing loss?

One question how on earth can you eliminate sugar and salt, they are in everything.

BUT in another thread you said you cured your tinnitus using bath earplugs. I am sorry but I think you are fake. What a shame.

These are known to be ototoxic.

 

When I started using the ear plugs I was also eliminating the above items but started using most of them again.

I still use the ear plugs in the shower and hopefully both will keep it faint like it is now.

It is difficult to eliminate sugar and salt altogether but I lowered it maybe 75%.

I worked in loud enviornments without hearing protection for years and when I retired my ringing started many years later bringing me to the conclusion it was diet mostly combined with aging.

The faint ringing is probably from my work and it is faint thank god but the above items is most likely making it much much worse.

I forgot to mention I also eliminated wheat products and chocolate

Hooe you find your cure because stress you bring on yourself telling people they are busted can not be good for your tinnitus.

We are all try to solve our tinnitus ourselves as there is no real cure at the present time.

I eat a whole foods plant based diet as often as I can. Treats and drinks on occasion, of course, but moderation is key. Just days ago, I gave up coffee, it was time.
