Hi all.

I think its time to admit to myself that to think I have Eust .Tube problems is just a security blanket.

That feels easier because you think there has to be an answer to that and to admit your full ,pressure feelings are part of an inner ear problem is somehow "The End"

But reality is ive tried everything from neti pots ,steam, steroid sprays.Even an American gizmo "Ear Popper" (another £140 up the swannee) all to no avail.

Yet I have a crazy thing ,you know when you hold your nose and blow and your ears pop.I can do that just sort of putting pressure on my tongue (difficult to explain) and my ears will click.(not TMJ grinding)
Have any of you got that?

Pete

Welcome to "Tinnitus Somewhat Anonymous...."

In the 5 months I have had T, hypercausis, popping/fullness in ears etc, I have blamed it on...

  • ETube disfunction
  • Allergies
  • Ototoxic Meds
  • TMJ
  • Stress and Depression
  • Hearing Loss
  • Rapid weight loss
  • Malnutrition
  • and more things I can't think of now...
It turns out that after all these months and visiting specialists from ENTs to Neurologists to Tinnitus Clinic Drs, going to Yoga, Massage, Acupuncture, CBT counselors, Psychiatrists, Neuromuscular dentist, chiropractors, hearing tests, blood tests, CT Scans, MRI's, allergy testing and thousands of dollars later...I still don't know what caused my T, have had very little treatment options and so far no way to cure it....
I have now accepted the fact that I cannot find a cause, cure or excuse to why I have T at this time, so I just have got on with my life and hope for one down the road. I also just found out a few days ago that I have a much more serious medical condition with no cure (not related to T) and maybe that has put things more in perspective for me. Either way, T or no T, I gotta keep movin' on.

Erik,
This is good advice for Carlover (Pete) and all the rest of us! You have such a great attitude about it all; I'm sure you'll overcome the other problem in the same way you have the tinnitus --- with a positive attitude and a fighting spirit.

Best wishes,
Karen
