I asked a question a couple of days ago regarding the sudden feeling of pressure followed by ringing in the ear, which may affect either ear, but not the same ear every time. In your response you referred to it as fleeting tinnitus. Is it common for fleeting tinnitus to occur several times a day? Today, for instance, it has happened about 9-10 times. When it happens It feels like instant stuffiness in one ear, followed by a loud ringing that lasts for 10-20 seconds. I haven't noticed any loss of hearing, but it is quite scary.

      Thanks

Fleeting tinnitus can occur a few times a day - but more typically it occurs a few times a month. Regardless, 9-10 times a day is a bit much. If it persists, I would definitely see an ENT (or preferably an ototogist or neurotologist) for a thorough evaluation.
