So I have an ear surgery coming up on October 30th. It is the opposite ear from the one I experience my pain hyperacusis in.

I asked one of the surgeons (cranial) about protecting my ear. He said they will be plugging that ear, but to test my hearing during the surgery. So I don’t know how beneficial or detrimental that could be.

I’ve sent a message to get more details from the Otolaryngologist surgeon who will also be involved.

What have others who’ve had surgery, regardless of the type, done to protect their ear/ears during surgery?

Getting the osteoma removed from that ear. Hoping it will resolve or benefit my tinnitus in some way.

      Thanks for the prayers Daniel.
