Hey even though we have T, we can still have lives folks!!!!

 

Hey JeffM. Just got home. Am having bear of a cold (posted on this earlier). But my good friend's parents are in town and wanted to see them.

So... Just got home. It is 12:20 am ET. Didn't mean to do this but I was enjoying catching up. Lots of wine. Hey they told me to drink fluids for a cold! So much fun did not notice the time.

Tinnitus does not run my life!

 

Just saw the movie "Philomena" starring Judi Dench.
Really worth seeing and she is, as usual, a class act!

I got drunk at my sisters birthday party

 

Just got engaged to my girlfriend of 3 years.

If there is one upside of tinnitus, its that since no one can see it, us dashing men will see no impact from it on our prospects

 

You single guys out there with T, be encouraged by Champ and epin3m!!!! Don't let T mess with your social life!! Especially romantically !! Get out there and enjoy!! Respectively of course!! Don't let T rob you of this exciting time of your life. And hopefully you find a woman who understands and will support your journey with T!! Proud of you guys

 

Congratulations to Stelly... And to all of us who were out there on a Friday night, being social, having fun, being in love. Tinnitus did NOT run our lives on that night. And doesn't on any night!!!

Although I will say...something worse than a cold and tinnitus? A cold and tinnitus and a hangover.

Did you get drunk during the date?

 

I baby sat my anaesthetised cat after a trip to the vet for her needles (severe needle phobia) on Friday night..woohoo

Hiking Saturday with a good friend.....picnic lunch........caught up with gf on Sat night at the waterfront cafes (summer here) and enjoyed the warm night air over a double decker icecream and cool drink..no alcohol this end

Gym this morning.......Cider and Cheese festival at Werribee mansion.....very hot day!!!!

 

Of course I got drunk during the date! I was drinking sangria and wine immediately makes me tipsy hehe. Which is good because I start to say a lot of stupid jokes and laugh.

Guys, one of the things that terrified my when I got T was that I thought I was going to be single the rest of my life. I thought that I would never be with a girl again. I have always been a very funny guy and had a lot of success with women but T made me lost a lot of self confidence. Who would like to be with me? Who would like to be with a crippled?

Well, here is the thing: I can still do everything I did pre T days. As many have said on this forum, Tinnitus makes us no harm, yes it is a pain in the f@#~ arss but the noise is not the problem. The problem is our thoughts regarding the ringing and we have to challenge those thoughts and show to ourselves that those are false.

Hey epin3m, spot on bro!! My situation is different slightly because I am happily married, but initially my T totally disrupted my libido and sense of self worth. I felt bad for my wife for having to put up with my miserable self. I actually told her on a few occasions that I would not fault her for leaving me because of my T!! It was that bad!

But, you are so, so right, we can overcome and be the men (and women too) that we were before T! Maybe even better, knowing and appreciating who we are and how sweet life really is!! Keep on rockin it dude!!
