Like the title says, Germany is planning to invest 500 million euros over the next 10 years for CFS. The first thing I want to say is that I am extremely happy for these people. CFS is a terrible condition, and I am glad they are getting the help they need. The second thing I want to say is that there is absolutely no reason the same cannot happen for us. CFS is a rare disease that is poorly understood, while tinnitus affects millions and has severe cases that are well-documented. Hyperacusis is another condition that does not receive enough attention despite being rare, yet Germany decided to make a huge difference in the lives of people with CFS.
There is no reason why we, as a community, cannot achieve something similar for ourselves. Tinnitus Quest is incredible because they did not wait for something like this to happen. Instead, they decided to be the ones who create change. We all have to work together to make that change, and I truly feel like we can do it. This news gave me a lot of hope that things can improve, and I do not even have CFS.
