So, last week I had a cold, two days ago I started feeling better, however when I woke up, I felt that my right ear was stuffed and was ringing. Yesterday when I woke up, the stuffed feeling went away, however I'm still experiencing high pitched constant ringing. I'm 22 and I experienced tinnitus after drinking alcohol before, but it always went away in the morning. However, it's the third day of constant ringing and I'm freaking out that something is really wrong. I already made an appointment with ENT doctor, should I worry?

Are you taking any antihistamines or Mucinex? Maybe you still have some mucus build up that needs dried out?

I'm not taking any medication at the moment. I'm really scared that it's going to be permanent, it started so unexpectedly and doesn't subside at all! I'm still a little bit sick, I cough a lot but my sinuses don't feel stuffed or anything, I don't have runny nose either.

Once you feel better it will subside or go away completely.
