I noticed my ring about 5 years ago. Long history of sinus allergy problems. Massive eyebrow headaches were my main complaint. They seemed to last for 3 days. Work was a struggle. Luckly, I was able to sleep at night. That was a blessing. First thing in the morning, eyebrow headache would settle back in. Always a problem in late August and early spring. Prescription headache meds were a blessing. Always did the Zpacks with a steriod. Usually helped within hours and set me straight for many weeks. Then boom, here we go again and I would struggle through it. Decided to have the sinus surgery done. ENT said Xrays showed areas of concern. Signed up. About 1 week before the surgery, the ring magically started. I compare my ring to what you would experience right after a concert. Had it many times in the 70's into the 80's, but no concerts in many years. Guessing my frequency is 6-8Khz. I have been blessed that I can pass the audio tests at ENT office and hearing is most normal for 57. It's just background ring for me. I think it has grown louder in last year, but I can watch TV with no awareness until, Oh crud, there it is........Wondering if the Tinnitus Terminator would help. I will search this forum for any success stories.

Hi Kevin T ! Welcome to the forum!
I have not tried the Tinnitus Terminator but I don't think it has received great reviews from the members here who have tried it. Maybe someone with that experience will chime in here.
It sounds like your tinnitus issues were caused by the sinus surgery and that is unfortunate. I certainly hope the surgery was successful in curing your sinus problems!

It's a scam, the tinnitus terminator is basically sound therapy. Take some strong antihistamines and all that mucus will clear up. Can't guarantee your T will go away but it should get lower. I take a non-addictive antihistamine and anxiety pull and it helps me get sleep at night since my nose is always clogged. My T is pretty quiet now.

Have you personally tried this Tinnitus Terminator?

Also if you read Kevin's post correctly, he stated his tinnitus began 1 week before the surgery.

Not sure if the surgery was a success Kevin and I hope it was for the sinus issues. There are other forms of sound therapy available including many free downloads you can use on your own devices and save a bundle. There are posts here that have links available for free downloads and some come from the team who developed and run this site. You may want to try these first.

Wishing you luck with finding some relief.

I stand corrected @MikeP505 . I did misread that. Thank you!
I guess my brain isn't functioning so well this morning. I'll blame it on tinnitus!:)

Hey Folks, Been so busy and did want to get back to conversing with others that have the ring. Correct, my ringing started just before my sinus surgery. I will call my surgery a success because it relieved my (like clockwork) 3 day extreme eyebrow headaches down to just 1 day. Most days that I have the eyebrow headaches, I just try plow through. Sometimes, I'm fed up and take one of my "little white friends". Usually, withing 20-30 minutes, I'm thanking the Lord, and ready to get back to production. Moving forward to last week. Went to the ENT for the latest round of sinus infection.....post nasal, onset of a sore throat, but did not have the associated head ache. ENT prescribed a different pill, not the usual Zpack. Also visited with audiologist and she suggested lip0-flavonoids. Call me crazy, but I think my ring is slightly louder now......Going to look into a masking app.......maybe someone has one out there. Or maybe the white noise generator that those Brookstone type stores used to sell.
Thanks to all of those good people who have added to this conversation. I'll get back here sooner.
