After doing some research I found a study they did on mice using different strains of probiotics. They had different effects depending on each strain. The study and results are here (look at Table 1):

I noticed the L. Rhamnosus strain lowered depression, anxiety, cortisol, worked on GABA, and had an effect through the Vagus nerve.

Has anyone tried this before? If so what did it do? Is it worth buying?

@JasonP, how are you these days? And did you ever try this type of probiotics: Lactobacillus rhamnosus?

      Thank you.

I was told to take a probiotic because of pain in my abdomen and was told it will help with my anxiety. They ruled out the major stuff with an ultrasound. 2 hours after taking the probiotic my tinnitus jumped from 1/10 to 5/10. I stayed the course for 4 days and still had high tinnitus. After I stopped it decreased but not back down to normal levels yet.

Anyone else taken probiotics? Any effect on your tinnitus levels?
