I am hoping people that those who have recovered or significantly improved from hyperacusis can help here.
I am trying to understand what to expect if I am to see recovery from this condition. Does sound tolerance fluctuate up and down day to day over months or is this more a lineal thing, where each day the sound tolerance should be at the same or higher than the previous day?
I am finding that with my hyperacusis, my ears constantly feel 'on edge', pressured and sore, and the payback for any unwanted noise comes much later that evening in the form of earache or more hyperacusis sensitivity the next day. This is what is stopping me being active. I have tried protecting them in built up areas and letting them being exposed in quieter areas but I don't think I am seeing any improvement, if anything its feels like they are getting slightly worse over the last 3 months.
I will probably have to quit my job at this rate if I can't get this beast under control.
Cheers
