I recently decided to see a hearing specialist for loss of hearing. I have had Tinnitus for many years and in the last few years I have trouble hearing in groups of people and one on one. The specialist I saw was rude and very aggressive in pushing $ 6000.00 hearing aids on me. She had only one concern and that was selling me a hearing aid. If this treatment you get when visiting a specialist (doctor) than I will just live with this. Is there any reasonable price hearing aids out there that will mask and help with loss..

If I were you, I would try to find an independent audiologist that is not working alongside an ENT. In my experience, the ones who work with an ENT tend to have more patients flowing through and are rushed. Look for one that offers multiple brands and don't only offer a single brand of hearing aids. I would put $6,000 on the higher end, but you can get similar hearing aids for less depending on the audiologist.
