Hi, Do I Have Tinnitus?

I'm wondering if this is tinnitus since it isn't constant. But I have whistling in my ear that lasts for about 3-4 second intervals, then stops for a few seconds, then comes back. Its only in my left ear, and if I plug the ear it goes away completely.

Does this sound like tinnitus or something else?

Sounds like tinnitus to me, but your best bet is to check up with your doctor.
