How Can My Own Voice Hurt My Ears?

I was lying on a bed and had my phone 14 cm away from my mouth. I was talking to my brother with a raised voice for about 30 minutes (not constantly of course, I would say I got exposed to my raised voice for 5-10) and noticed how my left ear sounded like something was popping there, a weird feeling indeed.

So I was holding my phone 14 cm away from my mouth so sounds waves would have to travel a 28 cm to my ear, so my own voice would probably be about 90 dB-97 dB (or is it even louder?)

I think this has got to do with my hyperacusis. Now my left ear feels full. Could I have caused damage to my ear?

My guess is that the spike is going to be temporary. But this is certainly not helping you to get better. So in the future, try to protect your ears from even mild shocks like that...

I have had this issue as well, at times I experience a nasty spike. It takes a bit if time, but it does get better...

I had a significant spike after yelling loudly at one of my dogs who started running near the busy streets.
