How Common Is It for Noise-Induced Tinnitus to Be in Only One Ear?

I got this random thought, why do I have tinnitus in one ear?

And then I thought, does tinnitus get in one ear only when it's noise induced? Haha

I figured my tinnitus was noise induced until I realized it's in one ear. I'm honestly just really confused. Does exposure to loud noise usually spawn tinnitus in two ears? Or one?

I started with one side but I eventually got it on both sides. Odd thing is that it's completely different from one side to the other. One side is low pitch and low volume while the other side is high pitch and higher volume.

It's quite common for one ear to go first. But make sure to protect both ears going forward, as your "good" ear could soon become damaged too. I got careless and that's what happened to me.
